Chesed is a Afro-Boricua, queer, mystic, social worker, scholar, poet, ritualist and keeper TZOVAH of sacred space. Chesed was born in Puerto Rico (descendant of the Arawakan people, the Afro-indigenous people’s of Boriken known as Puerto Rico today) and grew up in Connecticut.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Connecticut.
He senses a call to spiritual leadership and is very passionate about liturgical studies, and the power of sacred space. Uplifting the voices from the margins. Creating space for community, creativity, growth, ritual and healing through the prophetic spirit.
He is a scholar and researcher interested in spiritual direction, and liturgical studies.
Interests: system change, community organizing, policy practice, spiritual direction, chaplaincy, sex & wilderness therapy.
